Artist’s Statement

I began printmaking in 2021. I do monoprinting and sometimes add collage.  I fell in love with printmaking immediately and am always excited to learn as I work in my studio. The diversity of printmaking methods is endless. This is a medium that supports my imagination with the freedom to explore like no other media for me.

Since 2008 my artwork has been acrylic abstract painting with a bold affirmation of color and movement. This work continues. I have painted watercolor landscapes and botanicals in realistic and semi-abstract style. The bridge for me from watercolor to acrylic was a renewed interest in photography when I worked with digital art, then I began moving to abstract painting.
